Incense sticks find a prominent place in every divine rituals amongst Hindus and Buddhists across the world. In India specifically, incense sticks have been used to create a positive aura during religious practices since centuries. Even Atharvaveda and Rigveda have mention of incense sticks. In fact, Ayurvedic texts have a well defined process of creating incense sticks.
Burning incense sticks not only removes bad odour from the surroundings but acts as organic disinfectants as well. The psychological benefit of burning incense sticks is well established. The aroma has healing powers and a soothing effect on the mind.
Today, there are basically two main classification of agarbatti or incense sticks – Masala Agarbatti and charcoal infused sticks with essential oils and aromas.
Masala incenses have a paste that is formed by mixing solid scented ingredients. This paste is then rolled onto thin sticks made of bamboo. Our incense sticks are strictly hand rolled to retain the traditional touch. This ensures that they burn slowly and for a longer time than machine rolled ones.
At every stage of the process, strict guidelines are followed to ensure ultimate purity and to retain the true essence of the ingredients. Since we follow the vedic recipes and processes, our incense sticks are more that aromatic burning sticks. They add to the positivity of the aura in the vastu.
